"First and foremost, I consider myself a purveyor of beauty, primarily through the lens. I do not consider myself one who creates beauty. I merely identify it, capture it and deliver it to others in an attempt to share my appreciation for it. At least that is my intent, my goal, my raison d'être."

sander-martijn fell in love with the lens in 1996 when he saw the shadows of a window gate falling on a back. realizing it was one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen he grabbed the first camera he could find, a 35mm point-and-shoot and shot the first photograph he cared about. he titled it "her" and to this day it remains one of his favorite images. it is the cover image for the art section of this site. this single image began a long journey of trying to capture beauty in it's purest form and share it with others.

after applying his photography to an array of disciplines including having exhibits, being staff photographer for various events and helping the national lawyers guild document police brutality during protests, he realized what he really wanted to do was apply his love for the lens to his love for fashion.

he is currently doing shoots for his portfolio and assisting fashion and beauty photographers to gain experience in this field.
